Its a good game, but the scenarios are a little weak to be honest. I think thats mostly due to changing up the art style, isometric view, and UI. The third one is different, not the same feel as the first 2. RCT2 just gives them to you, no questions asked. Personally, I prefer the nostalgia of the 1st, mainly because of the awesome scenarios and the actual need to unlock them. EDIT: You can ride the rides! Forgot about that! Really cool, but not as cool as it sounded originally. Even more options for custom scenery and custom scenarios. RCT3: First entry into 3D, but theres a steep learning curve when it comes to landscaping. They give you the option to just build, no money or park restrictions if you so choose. RCT2: The most open, made to build! Custom scenery, imported scenarios, better animation and generally regarded as the most diverse. The upside (or downside depending) is you have to unlock them by beating previous scenarios. Best of the 3 when it comes to scenarios. RCT1: More simple in design, more basic in functionality. Omg Ive been waiting for this question since like forever.

Still, it feels like the most full experience to me - I really hope they do a proper sequel soon, though. The only downside is that it's early 3D, so it's not as aesthetically pleasing as the lovely sprite work in the first two. More rides, more landscaping options, more everything. Kinda fun, and seeing as you gotta test your coasters anyway, it's a nice addition.īut really it's a fantastic game that has more robust options than its predecessors, and because of the fluid camera, you have more control. The 'riding' the coasters is a perk that they put in there cause it looks good on the box.

You had full control over the angles and everything, so it wasn't as restrictive as the isometric approach of the first two (which became quite annoying if you had tight spaces to work with or ended up building things in your park very clustered.) I actually enjoyed RCT 3 a lot more simply because you could zoom in the camera and adjust it and really get a better look at your park.
